Islamic Cairo Trip

Saladin Citadel is the most famous historic fortification in Egypt, built in 1176 AD. We will start our tour by visiting Mohammed Ali’s Alabaster Mosque after exploring the massive area. You can visit many magnificent museums and enjoy a panoramic view of the city. Then, we will start our walking tour from Bab al-Futuh and Bab al-Nasr, old Cairo’s remaining fortified gates, through Al Mo’ez Street. Then, you’ll visit al-Hakim Mosque, Al-Aqmar Mosque, Weaving Museum, and Bayt al-Sihaymi, the finest example of a house in old Cairo. As you delve into the Islamic Cairo district, you’ll be stunned with ancient architecture and the most preserved Islamic heritage. 

Afterwards, you’ll visit Masjid al-Sultan Barquq, Madrasat Sultan al-Mansur Qalawun, and his mausoleum. That’s not it; you can visit al-Azhar Mosque, the Sabil-kuttab Tusun Basha, Sultan al-Mu'ayyad Mosque, and Al Khayamiya. Ignite your adventurous spirit, climb to the top of Bab Zuweila’s minarets, and enjoy the gorgeous views. And you know what the good thing is; you’ll be accompanied by our professional guide, who will explain the history of every destination you visit.   

Finally, you’ll have lunch at an oriental restaurant in the area. As you explore, you can stop at the customs’ shops and take unforgettable photographs with the Egyptian traditional clothes.  At the end of the tour, you will get back to your hotel, with memories of a lifetime.
