Jerash is located north of Amman, approximately 45 km and an hour's drive away. During the excursion, we will visit the Arch of Triumph, the Oval Plaza, the Cardo, the Colonnaded Street, the Temple of Aphrodite, and finally, the Roman Theater, known for its wonderful acoustics. Afterward, we will visit Ajloun Castle, a fortress built in 1185 and later rebuilt in the 13th century by the Mamluks after its destruction by the Mongols. It is a Crusader-era castle located on top of a mountain, offering beautiful views. After the visit, return to Amman. Dinner and night at hotel.
Breakfast. Departure towards the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth, situated 400 meters below sea level. Opportunity for swimming. Return to Amman. Dinner and night at hotel.
Breakfast. Departure to visit the Orthodox Church of St. George, home to the first mosaic map of Palestine. Continue to Mount Nebo to admire the panoramic view of the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea from the mountain. This place is significant as it was the last place visited by Moses, who viewed the promised land he would never enter. Proceed to Shobak Castle, a solitary reminder of the Crusaders' ancient glory, built in 1115 by King Baldwin I to defend the road between Damascus and Egypt. The castle is located less than an hour north of Petra. Once known as "Mont Real," it is nestled on the mountainside amidst a wide area of fruit trees. Departure to Petra. Dinner and night at hotel.
Breakfast. Full day dedicated to visiting the Rose City, capital of the Nabateans. During the tour, we will explore the most important and representative monuments carved into the rock by the Nabateans: the Treasury, a famous and internationally recognized monument featured in one of the Indiana Jones movies, the colorful Royal Tombs, and more. Petra is one of those places in the world that everyone should visit at least once in their lifetime. After the tour, in the afternoon, return to the hotel. Dinner and night at hotel.
Breakfast. Departure to what is known as 'Little Petra,' just 15 km north of Petra. A narrow gorge, only 2 meters wide, with typical Nabatean architecture makes this visit unique and incomparable. It was inhabited by the Nabateans and features many tombs, water cisterns, and channels; there is a small path leading to some interior areas, Siq Al Bared. The scale of this area and its continuation from Petra earned it the name Little Petra. Departure towards Wadi Rum, Lawrence of Arabia's desert. Excursion in Wadi Rum desert with a 2-hour 4x4 vehicle ride driven by Bedouins, offering a brief exploration of the lunar landscape of this desert. We will delve into the pink sands of this desert, characterized by the majestic granite formations shaped by nature into whimsical forms. After the visit, departure towards Amman. Arrival. Dinner and night at the hotel.
Breakfast. At the scheduled time, transfer to the airport for departure on a regular flight to the city of origin.
