Arrival at Cairo International Airport. Assistance by our representatives through Immigration, Visa, and Customs procedures. Transfer to the hotel and overnight.
Breakfast. Full-day excursion visiting the Grand Egyptian Museum, also known as GEM, which will be entirely equipped with collections from Ancient Egypt. Described as the largest archaeological museum in the world dedicated to a single civilization. Lunch is included at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Pyramids of Giza, the first wonder of the 7 ancient wonders of the world: the Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, the Sphinx, and the Valley Temple. A brief stop at a papyrus center, where you will have the opportunity to explore the history of papyrus, witness its production process, and understand its significance in Ancient Egypt. Afterward, return to the hotel and overnight.
Breakfast. Transfer to Cairo Airport for a flight to Luxor. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Overnight.
Breakfast. Visit the west bank with the Necropolis of Thebes, including the Valley of the Kings, where the tombs of the most important pharaohs of the New Kingdom are hidden with entry to the tombs of Seti I, Ramses V, Tutankhamun, and the temple of Ramesseum, funerary temple of Ramses II, and we will make a stop to see the gigantic Colossi of Memnon, stone statues representing Pharaoh Amenophis III A brief stop at an alabaster factory, where you can learn about this translucent limestone historically used in Egypt for sculptures and other decorative objects. Return to the hotel and overnight.
Breakfast. Departure to the Temple of Hatshepsut, known as Al Deir Al Bahari, dedicated to the only woman who ruled Egypt for an extended period. Afterward, visit Carter's House, the second home and workplace of the Great British archaeologist and Egyptologist Howard Carter (1874-1939) during his stay in Luxor. Return to the hotel, and overnight.
Breakfast. Departure to Qena to visit the famous Temple of Dendera, about 60 km away on the left bank of the Nile. It is a large temple dedicated to the goddess Hathor, the capital of the sixth province of Upper Egypt. Return to Luxor. In the afternoon, visit the Luxor Temple, the city's gem, built during the New Kingdom, although the majority was constructed by Amenhotep III and Ramses II. Night and accommodation at the hotel.
Breakfast. Visit the Karnak Temple, the oldest religious center in the world and the second most visited site in Egypt after the Giza Pyramids. In the afternoon, visit to Luxor Museum, the second most visited museum in the country. Transfer to the hotel and overnight.
Breakfast. Free day to observe the total Solar Eclipse, which will be visible in Luxor on 2 August 2027. The partial eclipse will begin at 11:40:07, at which time the sun will be at a height of 71° above the horizon. At 13:01:57 the total eclipse will begin. The expected time of the maximum eclipse (the moment in which the moon will hide the greatest percentage of the sun) will be 13:05:07. At this moment the sun will be at an altitude of 82° and its azimuth will be 196°. The moon will cover 107.9% of the sun. The total eclipse will end at 13:08:17 p.m. The duration of the total eclipse will be 6 m20s. The eclipse will end at 14:26:24 at which time it will no longer be visible from Luxor. The height of the sun at the end will be 68° above the horizon.
Breakfast. Departure for Esna by coach (58 km) to visit its temple, which was dedicated to Khnum, the ram-headed god. It is famous for its astronomical ceiling; after its cleaning, it has revealed inscriptions painted with names of constellations that were previously unknown. Return to Luxor and transfer to the hotel.
Breakfast. At the scheduled time, transfer to Luxor airport to fly back to Cairo. Arrival and transfer to the hotel. Overnight.
Breakfast. Full-day excursion in the city of Cairo, visiting the Egyptian Museum with its masterpieces from different empires and the treasure found in Tutankhamun's tomb. Lunch at a local restaurant. Concluded with a stroll through the Khan El Khalili market, where you can wander through its medieval alleyways and shop for souvenirs. Return to the hotel, and overnight.
Breakfast and transfer to Cairo Airport at the scheduled time to fly to the next destination.
